Have you ever asked yourself,  “How many __________ do I have in my district?”

That blank line could be coffee shops, government offices, restaurants, etc.  With PBID Manager, you can see at a glance, any type of information you want to filter.  Whether it’s information  about properties and businesses businesses or contacts and organizations within your district.

In this post, I am going to show you how easy it is to use “Tags” and a few of the applications that you can accomplish using this feature.

Once you have determined what “Tags” you will be using, you will now be able to send group emails to a “Tag”, as well as export all of your sections filtered by “Tags” .    This will give you a great big picture overview of what you really have in your district and how you can maximize your resources to do your outreach to them.

Sit down and determine what “Tags” you want to be able to assign to each Property in your district.  Think about the end result you want and work backwards.  Does your Board want to know how many Properties are Gov’t owned, or do they only need to know how many Residential Properties are in the district and where they are located?   You can choose however many “Tags” you need to sort your information.

These areas in the example picture below are the areas that  you can assign “Tags” to which are:

  • Properties
  • Businesses
  • Organizations
  • Contacts

Let’s start off with your  “Properties” .  You can create “Tags” to sort your “Properties” into categories like the following examples:

Property Tags

  • Commercial Offices
  • Residential
  • Commercial Retail
  • Land / Easement Only
  • Government Owned

For the example below, I have added the ‘Commercial Retail’ Tag to a couple of properties.

In this next screenshot, you can now see that the filter pulled all the Properties that had the “Commercial Retail” Tag assigned to the property. In this case, there are only three properties in the district that have been tagged “Commercial Retail”. So I know if I am sending an email  or a mailer to a “Tag” I will be sending the email or mailer to only three properties in my district.   This allows you to be very specific in your communication to your district, saving you time and resources.

These “Tags” can be added/changed in a bulk method using PBID Managers “Bulk Tag Importer” like in Image #1 below.  Or you can manually add a “Tag” using the “Edit” function to the right of the Property address like in Image #2.

IMAGE #2: Adding “Tags” via Edit Property

This same scenario can be used when you begin assigning “Tags” to  you  Businesses, Contacts and Organization sections.   You just have to determine your districts needs and what information you want to pull from your PBID Manager data.  The possibilities are endless in terms of how you can sort each of these sections.

I hope this helps!
